The LOCKPICKING skill is used to open locked Items such as Battered Chests and also to Unlock locked buildings.
You may only attempt to unlock a building owned by an enemy allegiance member and in doing so you will become Criminal and hunted by that allegiance.
There is no penalty for unlocking items, to unlock a Building you need a lockpick.
Skill Use
To unlock a building, equip a lockpick and go stand on the same location as the building then click the equipped lockpick icon at the bottom of the screen.
To unlock an item goto the Inventory screen click on the item and click Lock.
